Food of the Future

How to maximize your ability to function on all levels, physically and emotionally.

I am sure most of you know – you are what you eat. You eat low quality food – you get sick. You eat high quality food you feel better, healthier, happier.

What is food of the future?

Let me ask you a question – lets suppose, and I don’t want to be the bearer of bad news, that tomorrow the earth as we know it, no longer exists, some sort of an emergency situation is approaching, and you are left with one suitcase to pack with food. Would you pack a bag of potato chips and beer or food that will sustain and nourish you for a long time? Food that will enable you to function at your maximum level. As you know at times like these, people who choose poorly are usually the ones to suffer. Every day choices that you make in regard to what you put into your mouth will define your future health on all levels. Day to day stress is a sort of a daily “emergency” that requires your body-mind and spirit to function quickly and efficiently.

So what will it be?

What I suggest to you is to pack SMART FOOD in your suitcase and start consuming smart food everyday. Look at your environment; poor quality of water and air, GMOs, preservatives, fertilizers and other toxins which are dumped into our environment, and which compromise our immune system and decrease our body’s ability to function at its best. All of which bring our bodies to an internal chaotic environment that creates chronic inflammation and disease.

Dr Smood considers SMART FOODS to be:

Food that will build your gut health, supports internal micro-biom (trillions of microorganisms mostly bacteria that reside in our gut). Research shows a direct link between our internal ecosystem (micro-biom) in our gut, to our immune system. Some researchers say that the health of our micro-biom is more important than our genes. Eat probiotic live, dairy free, yogurt first thing in the morning.

Food that is easy to digest, minimizing production of free radicals, (by product of the digestive process is the production of free radicals which creates inflammation), we also call it oxidative stress and we counteract that by eating food that is high in antioxidants and has live enzymes. Since many american suffer of compromised digestive system (IBS, Leaky gut, Crohn’s disease), they can not breakdown and assimilate fully the nutrients in the food. It is wise to “eat” smoothies packed with super food and drink it slowly.

Food that is potent. Small quantities; not over burdening the digestive system, provides big amounts of nutrients. Super foods; food that has high level of ORAC and is loaded with minerals, vitamins, and phytonutrients. Like cacao, hemp, chia, avocado and more.

Food that is adaptogenic. Tonic herbs and medicinal foods help your body adapt to external and internal stress. Saponins that at the end of the molecule have the ability to balance you. Like maca, reishi and ginseng.

Brain food supports optimal brain functioning. First on my list, Blue green algae; it’s the very first protein on the planet, it’s the most nutrition rich food on the planet. (64% protein compared to just 22% protein found in animal protein like steak), over 65 vitamins and minerals, essential fatty acids, and a huge dose of chlorophyll. The brain has a protective sheath that contains 2/3 fats. In order to function at your best, you need to feed this sheath with fatty acids. also this form of food is bioavailable, meaning, its easy to digest and absorbed by the body. NASA has fed algae to their astronauts for over fifty years and says “one gram of algae has the nutritional equivalent of 1,000 grams of fruits and vegetables.”

Food that detox our body. Mostly vegetable juices that shift your body into the autolysis process. The detox process that breaks down diseases, damaged, sick cells and draws it out of the body. Getting rid of toxic load is vital to eliminate diseases.

Coffee and Cacao blend to perfection infused with Maca and Mesquite. Maca is an adaptogenic food that have numerous health benefits. An annual plant, maca has been used medicinally for centuries in South America and is a known adaptogen. This simply means that it is a nutritive substance that raises the body’s state of resistance to disease while remaining nontoxic to the recipient. Adaptogens increase immunity by improving the overall ability of the entire body to take on challenging and stressful situations.

Maca is powerfully abundant in amino acids, phytonutrients, healthy fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. This superfood (foods that are nutrient-dense and offer tremendous dietary and healing potential), may have the ability to increase energy and stamina, oxygenate the blood, support neurotransmitter production, and enhance libido.
